This tennis clinic will teach you very basic shot technique, as well as court movement. It’s is about practicing the basics of tennis in a fun environment with others of your skill level. (Requires 3 participants to run.)

🎾 Adult Intermediate (Level 2.5-3.0)
For players who have some tennis experience, this class will focus on game-like situations as well as brush up on your stroke work. This clinic will be less technical work, and more focused on live ball hitting.
You must be able to rally and serve to be in this class. (Requires 3 participants to run.)

🎾 Weekly Social Round Robin
Our co-ed Round Robin is designed for players who have experience with the game and are looking for match play. The setup consists of two, 45 minute matches per session.
Requires a minimum of four players to run and players pay a one-time drop-in rate.

🎾 Adult Tennis Leagues
Are you looking for competitive adult tennis in Central Mass for your level in a social setting?
The Shrewsbury Club has got you covered.
The Club organizes and hosts matches for Women’s Level 3.0, Men’s Level 3.5, Mixed Level 6.0 and 9.0, and Co-Ed for Ages 55+ for the following leagues:
– USTA (United States Tennis Association)
– CMITA (Central Massachusetts Indoor Tennis Association)
– DBH (Dorothy Bruno Hills; competitive indoor doubles for women)
Participating in league play requires approval by a Club tennis pro, so get in touch with us to learn more!
ℹ️ Group Adult Tennis Programming Policies
– All clinics require a minimum of 3 participants to run. If there is not sufficient enrollment, semi-private lessons or private lessons are available.
– We will make every effort to provide make-ups for any classes canceled due to circumstances beyond our control, e.g. weather. Make-ups will be scheduled at or near the end of a session or during a school vacation week.
– No refunds will be given if you fail to attend or are unable to attend a scheduled make-up.
– Only classes canceled by the Club will have make-ups. Make-ups will not be provided when a class is missed due to illness or a conflicting schedule.
ℹ️ What Tennis Level Am I?
2.0 — Beginner
Learning basic strokes, court positioning, and how to keep the ball in play.
2.5 — Advanced Beginner
Can sustain a slow rally and is developing more consistent strokes and court coverage.
3.0 — Intermediate
Can rally consistently at a moderate pace, but is still developing shot placement, depth, and control.
3.5 — Intermediate
More dependable strokes and directional control, with improving net play and doubles skills.
4.0 — Advanced Intermediate
Consistent forehands and backhands with better depth and control; comfortable using volleys, overheads, and approach shots.
4.5 — Advanced
Uses pace, spin, and placement effectively and can adjust tactics based on the opponent.
