⚾ Step Into the Cage at The Shrewsbury Club!
The Shrewsbury Club offers access to nine indoor batting cages—perfect for baseball, softball, lacrosse, and even cricket training year-round. Cages are available to both members and non-members, with free use for Full Club Members and Runbirds Team Juniors players.
Designed for hand-pitch or tee work, our batting cages allowing you to focus on technique and fundamentals (note the cages do not include pitching machines.), Book your cage time online or by calling our front desk at (508)-845-1000. Whether you’re sharpening your swing or practicing your shot, the cages at The Shrewsbury Club are ready when you are!
ℹ️ Important Turf/Cage Policy Update (Effective January 1st)
– Full Club Members and Runbirds Team Junior Members will continue to receive complimentary cage time, BUT subject to the limits below.
– Members (Individuals, parent-child/couple, families, or Runbird full club members (youth & adult)) are limited to 60 minutes of complimentary cage time per day.
– Members wishing to exceed the complimentary time limits may reserve additional cage time for a fee of $20 per half hour or $35 per hour.
– For safety purposes, all individuals observing cage sessions must have a signed liability waiver on file. Observers must remain off the turf and cages at all times and may watch only from the designated side areas.

Turf Guidelines & Rules
⚾ Flexible Booking for All Players
We offer convenient cage bookings for both members and non-members.
Both Members and non-members may book up to 6 days in advance. Example: You may call on Tuesday to request a cage for next Monday.
Reservation Requirements
– All reservations require the cage host (person booking) to have a credit card on file. This policy applies to
all members and non-member guests.
– The first and last names of all participants must be provided when booking.
– The host is responsible for collecting this information in advance.
Cage Rates & Guest Fees
– Cage rates vary depending on your membership level. The cage fees will be split evenly between
everyone in the cage.
– Full club members wishing to exceed the complimentary time limits may reserve additional cage time for
a fee of $20 per half hour or $35 per hour.
– No guest fees for non-members, only pay the applicable cage fee.
❌ Cancellation Policy
– The Shrewsbury Club has a 24-hour cancellation policy for both members and non-members. ***Less than
24 hours of notice will result in a cancellation fee that is equal to the cost of the cage fee for the booking.
⏰ No-Show Policy
– The Shrewsbury Club has a 15-minute no-show policy. Reservations that have not been checked in by 15
minutes past the booking start time will be cancelled, so the court may become available for others.
***Failure to show up or cancel will result in a no-show fee to the host of the booking.
Rules
– A maximum of 4 people per cage — this limit is strictly enforced.
– Children under 15 years old may not use cages alone. They must have adult supervision.
– Upon arrival, you must check in at the front desk to receive your assigned cage number. Please use the
assigned cage only.
– Anyone observing activities on the turf field must remain off to the side and is not permitted to enter the cage or
step onto the turf infield. All observers must sign a liability waiver.
-The pitching machine is not available for general use. It is strictly reserved for use by The Shrewsbury
Club/Runbird coaches only. It cannot be reserved and may not be used by individuals or outside groups
under any circumstances.
⚾ Cage Etiquette
– Play should start at the booking time and end within 5 minutes of the reservation. This allows teammates to
pick up balls, trash, and exit the court, so that the next reservation may enter and begin their play on time.
– Please be courteous to your fellow players and do not enter the courts until your reservation. Allow a 5
minute transition window between groups for players to exit and enter respectfully.
