
Our Junior Tennis Programs goal is to promote a love of tennis. We aim to develop a foundation built on technical and tactical skills while creating a supportive, fun, and enjoyable environment.
We have programs for ages 3 – 18 and all levels of skill.

Pay by Monthly EFT (Lowest Rate!)
Monthly payments are for members who are planning to commit to the entire tennis season (typically from Sep-June). By committing to the full season, the payments are broken down monthly into equal payments for the duration of your tennis lessons. EFT is always the lowest rate! Youth Tennis Ladders
The Shrewsbury Club offers Youth Tennis ladder matches for anyone interested! Each match is $10 per player. Players will be organized into one of three classes: Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced.

Tiny Tennis (Ages 4 &under)

Players will be introduced to tennis
Will help kids be comfortable with their junior tennis racquet, tennis court, and tennis balls

Red Ball Tennis (Ages 5-8)
Red ball is designed for first time players. This class focuses on building physical skills (agility, balance, coordination and speed) while teaching tennis fundamentals. Classes will be divided into pre-rally and rally groups.

Orange Ball Tennis (Ages 8-12)

Orange Ball focuses on building the athletic skills required by the sport while also teaching the fundamentals necessary to compete using a game-based curriculum. The coaching is focused on developing sound footwork and technique. Classes are divided into pre-rally and rally groups.

Green Ball Tennis (Ages 12-15)
Green ball builds off of Orange ball where Players learn how to properly position themselves. To execute ground strokes and volleys, hit with purpose, serve and ultimately sustain a rally of varying speed and duration. Classes are divided into pre-rally and rally groups.

Yellow Ball Tennis (Ages 15+)

Yellow Ball continues to train the player on strokes and technique, but also places them into live points, drills and games, designed to move them into match play.

Competitive Classes
Competitive classes are exclusive to those who try out and or qualify. Competitive classes focus on intense drills, on court fitness, and match play to develop students into tournament players and tennis team players.
Competitive Yellow Ball (Instructor approval)

Building on the fundamentals of live point play in yellow ball, players will learn tactics and apply them in singles and doubles match play.

Competitive Green Ball (Instructor approval)
Players who have completed Green Ball fundamentals. Specifically, each player learns to develop areas of strength in their game and learns to play more strategically. Players in Comp Green compete in tournaments, team tennis and interclub competition.

Jr. Varsity Tennis (Instructor approval)

This instructional class continues to train the player on strokes and technique, but also places them into live points, drills and games, designed to move them into team match play. Emphasis on doubles and singles strategies.

Varsity Tennis (Instructor approval)
Varsity is dedicated to providing an opportunity for high school players to progress their skills in a fun and competitive environment. Players who participate in this program must have prior experience. Stroke development, footwork, doubles and singles strategies will all be covered during the course of the session.

Group Junior Tennis Programming Policies
All clinics require a minimum of 3 participants to run. If there is not sufficient enrollment, semi-private lessons or private lessons are available.
